Tanairi aka Fantasma

As an artist my work spans multiple mediums, including charcoal, pastels, acrylics, sewing, and crocheting. I am driven by a deep love of the supernatural and a lifelong fascination with ghost stories, I strive to create pieces that have a rich atmosphere and deep storytelling. Each piece reflects a haunting element—whether inspired by folklore, personal experiences, or stories that I make up myself —I try to invite viewers to step into a world where the boundaries between the living and the spectral blur.

From a young age, I was captivated by the vibrant colors and bold forms found in the art and architecture of Colombia and Honduras, where the streets themselves seemed like living paintings. Being exposed to such vivid, lively hues has influenced my own use of color, where i try to create a sense of  vivid energy and otherworldy-ness.

I am driven by a boundless curiosity, exploring every avenue that crosses my mind. Whether working with the immediacy of charcoal and pastels or the tactile nature of sewing and crocheting, my process is as much about discovery as it is about creation. With each new project, I attempt to push the boundaries of my imagination, blending personal narrative with universal themes of the unknown.
