Dance
Our dance workshops explore street dance styles grounded in freestyle and hip-hop culture! We emphasize body wellness through stretching and exercises that enhance stamina and mobility. This workshop aims to boost confidence and comfort in expressing oneself through movement to music while fostering a sense of community and performance skills. Come get down with us and catch a groove!
Music Production
At Movement City, our Music Production program focuses on creating a variety of genres such as hip-hop, r&b, and reggaeton. In our studio, we dedicate a lot of our time to composing original songs for a variety of performance opportunities available to our members. Beyond producing and writing music, we emphasize artist development. We’re honing skills in songwriting, recording, production, and performance to help our artists thrive while at MC and for their futures.
Art
Our middle school and high school art workshops are designed for artists of all levels. This workshop focuses on building a solid foundation in the core principles of art while encouraging members to explore and express their unique creative voice.
Through a variety of artistic mediums and techniques, members will gain a deeper understanding of structure, composition, and form, while also having the freedom to experiment and discover what resonates with each member. From drawing and painting to creating with any medium, members will be guided through each art form at their own pace with plenty of space to ask questions and follow their curiosity.
This workshop is all about fostering creativity, developing skills, and finding the artistic path that feels right for each member. Whether curious about learning new techniques or refining a current creative practice, this is a space where exploration, growth, and self-expression thrive.
Clubhouse
Clubhouse encompasses everything digital art & STEM. Modeled after our partner, The Clubhouse Network, we provide youth with the tools and basics to venture into the creative path they want. Clubhouse offers youth the chance to learn graphic design, animation, photography, videography, coding, video game design, and 3D design.
Clubhouse workshops are open for all levels of artists and encourage our youth to explore topics important to them so they can grow technically and conceptually.
