Gira became part of the Lawrence community in 1988 when she moved to Massachusetts from New York City. Since then, she has grown into a hard working mother of two beautiful children who attended and continue to attend Movement City. She became part of Lawrence Community Works back in 2016 as a board member then shortly after, was recruited to work part-time for Movement City in September of 2017 since then she has also acquired the position of Administrative Assistant for Lawrence Community Works in 2018. Gira has 20 years of experience in customer service and administration. She is also a creative spoken word poet who participates in most of Movement City’s Open Mic and Showcase events.  As the face of Movement City and Lawrence Community Works she thrives on serving and making an impact on our community and youth members.
